April 6, 1919 - March 28, 2007 Dorothy E. Bush, 87, Lincoln, NE, widow of Rowland, died Wednesday (03-28-2007). Born Cimarron, KS (04-06-1919) to Doroty E. and Mary E. (Jones) Williams. Dorothy taught for many years in various schools throughout Lincoln, NE, retiring from Mae Morley Elementary School in 1982. Member: St. David's Episcopal Church. HAM radio operator, co-founded Mickle-Bush Neuter/Spay Foundation in 1983, co-founder of the LINK, past Capital Humane Society Board member, PALS, Coalition for Pet Protection, Hearts United for Animals, member of the Welsh Society, DOES. Among the many awards Dorothy received for her service toward animals; she was the recipient of the Capital Humane Society John F. "Rick" Akin award and the Red Cross Animal Rescue Award. Survivors: brother-in-law Robert F. Synder, Council Bluffs, IA; nephews, Robbie, Gilbert and Thomas Synder and their families; many distant relatives and friends.
